The Office of the Bishop, rather than being a strictly religious position, is responsible for all the cultural aspects of Siar Fordell.
There is no state religion for the Thegn-Hold, and Siar Fordell has traditionally been extremely tolerant and understanding of various religious practices. The Bishop is a clergyman, but his duties also include things like education, ceremony, customs, protocols, procedures, and festivities. He acts in this regard when seeing to the cultural and religious well-being of the state, and acts on his own, and in the name of the Thegn more often than any other advisory position. He also offers advice on laws, and moral guidance.
